RN to BSN Program

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is offered by the Rowan University School of Health Professions and administered through Global Learning & Partnerships. It is designed to provide RNs with the opportunity to acquire a highly sought after BSN degree with little interruption to professional or personal obligations.

MSN Program

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program at Rowan University was established to meet the need for trained professional health care leaders. The following two tracks are available within the Rowan MSN program:

Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)

The Clinical Nurse Leader track provides Registered Nurses in the greater Philadelphia tri-state area with the skills to assume leadership roles in their respective organizations. Our program was designed according to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) definition of the Clinical Nurse Leader as someone who oversees the care coordination of a distinct group of patients and actively provides direct patient care in complex situations. Also, according to the AACN, the CNL is a leader in the health care delivery system who evaluates patient outcomes, assesses cohort risk, and has the decision-making authority to change care plans when necessary. The Rowan MSN - Clinical Nurse Leader program is ideal for registered nurses hoping to assume this role.

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

The Nurse Practitioner track prepares Registered Nurses (RN) to sit for the specialty certification exam. The certifying agency determines eligibility for the exam. Students in the Nurse Practitioner track may specialize in Adult Gerontology Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner. The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner curriculum has undergone review and has been approved by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
