Course Information

The 108 credit, five-year program will be housed in and administered by the Department of Psychology. Students will be full-time students taking classes during the day, on-site for the first four years with an additional year at a full-time internship prior to being granted the Ph.D. degree. The curricular content was designed to be consistent with the American Psychological Associations (APA) Accreditation Standards and the Standards for Specialty Training of the APA. Additionally, these standards are in keeping with standard requirements for licensure as a Psychologist in NJ as well as nationwide.
The coursework for the program has been designed and sequenced in a way that will allow students to develop increasingly complex and cumulative knowledge over the course of their training. Additionally, practicum training will be sequenced in a way that allows students to attain increasingly complex clinical competencies. Students will receive individual supervision from faculty and external supervisors and will also be part of vertical supervision teams.
