Center for Behavior Analysis

The Center for Behavior Analysis, Research & Services at Rowan University promotes the science of applied behavior analysis through education, research, and services to individuals, families, and organizations at a local, regional, and national level. Currently, our service component of the mission is under development; however, the faculty may consult with individuals and agencies.

Coursework: Rowan University offers four coursework programs in applied behavior analysis:

  • Concentration Program in ABA for Psychology Majors: The Concentration in Behavioral Services for Children and Families offers the approved coursework for students to become Board Certified assistant Behavior Analysts *(there are other requirements necessary to become a BCaBA). Note:  Students must apply for the Concentration after taking PSY 02310 Learning and Behavior.  Students need to reserve 4 semesters to take this coursework. 
  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program in Applied Behavior Analysis: This certificate program offers coursework for individuals with a Bachelors degree who are interested in becoming a BCaBA* . 
  • Master of Arts in ABA: The Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis fulfills the coursework requirements for becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst*. 
  • Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in ABA (CAGS in ABA) This certificate program is for individuals with a Master’s degree in Education or Psychology who are interested in completing the necessary coursework to become a BCBA*

 *The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) has verified the following courses toward the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® examination. Applicants will need to meet additional requirements before they can be deemed eligible to take the examination.
