RAMP

Rowan Academy of Mobile Programming

Mobile application programming can provide an authentic and engaging hook into Computer Science. The MIT App Inventor is a web based visual programming environment that enables students with no programming background to build apps for Android mobile devices. RAMP offers one day summer workshops for high school and middle school students. The students will use App Inventor to build computer games that run on Android devices and learn basic Computer Science Principles. The hope is that this will plant the seed to entice more students to pursue a career in Computer Science.
