Welcome from the Dean

Karen Magee-SauerWelcome to the Rowan University College of Science & Mathematics. As the Dean of the College, I can tell you that Rowan is on the move! It's an exciting time here at Rowan with the addition of new academic and research programs.

While we grow, the College of Science & Mathematics is steadfast in our commitment to undergraduate education. Our faculty is fully-committed to a student-centered approach to learning in a research-rich environment both inside and outside of the classroom. Undergraduate students are fully integrated into research experiences beyond the classroom. As a result, we prepare students to succeed in quality graduate/professional programs and careers in industry, research, medicine, education, government, and health professions.

At the undergraduate level we have outstanding degree programs in Biological Sciences, Biomedical & Translational Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology, as well as interdisciplinary degree programs in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Bioinformatics. Our graduate programs are highly focused in "demand" areas to serve South Jersey's needs in technology and applied science fields in the disciplines of Psychology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Analytics, and Pharmaceutical Science.

The degree programs offered through Rowan's new School of Health Professions give our students the opportunity to enter health-related fields with a unique and innovative student experience preparing them to lead the future of South Jersey's health industry.

It's an exciting time here at Rowan's College of Science & Mathematics. I encourage you to learn more about each department and explore the interdisciplinary programs within the College.
