In America, That is to say No Where: A devised piecebased on Ubu Roi by Alfred Jarry. February 21 (preview) – 23 at 8PM, February 24 at 2PM. Directed by Melanie Stewart, written collaboratively by Brian Grace-Duff.

Based on Ubu Roi which was first performed in Paris at the Théâtre de l'Œuvre, causing a riotous response in the audience as it opened and closed on December 10, 1896. It is considered a wild, bizarre and comic play, significant for the way it overturns cultural rules, norms, and conventions.  This devised adaptation will follow Ubu Roi’s themes of political satire, the abuse of power, parodies of Shakespeare and theatre of the absurd, drawing upon current political events as fodder for the devising process.
