The Rowan University Concert Band comprises music majors as well as talented students from many other disciplines. Exploring a variety works for band, the ensemble prides itself in achieving a consistently high level of performance. Student-musicians share in the excitement of the creative process as they prepare two concerts each semester. All interested students are encouraged to contact the conductor for more information.

What better way to spend a cold night in December than with a concert that celebrates the sounds of the season! Concert Band selections include Shelley Hanson's Patapan and Ron Nelson's classic Courtly Airs and Dances, along with some Hannukah and Christmas favorites. This concert also features the Rowan University Brass Band. Please join us at 8:00pm in Pfleeger Concert Hall.


Coalition of Sound: Music of Labor Equality

The Rowan University Percussion Ensemble teams up with the Concert Band as a part of the Music of Social Justice series. The concert begins with a performance of Louis Andriessen's unforgettable Workers Union for massive percussion ensemble. The concert Band then performs music that celebrates workers' rights throughout history, including Elena Roussanova Lucas' Harvesting the Fields in Russia.
