Art Exhibits

  • Elsa Goldsmith: Women. On view in our spotlight section of the gallery is are works by Elsa M. Goldsmith (1920-2005). Goldsmith was a participant in "The Sister Chapel" (1974-79), an essential feminist installation that is currently on display in the same gallery. Her paintings, drawings, and prints feature her subtle but compelling depictions of women in a range of media and techniques.
  • Office of Information Resources & Technology (Memorial Hall) Selections from the Sylvia Sleigh Collection. On view is a selection of works from the Sylvia Sleigh Collection. Originally owned by the prominent feminist artist Sylvia Sleigh, the collection was donated to Rowan in 2011. The office is open Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
  • Department of Art, Westby Hall, 2nd floor Paintings of Corfe Castle by Stephanie Rauschenbusch. On view is a series of paintings, completed in 1987 and 1988, which are based on the ruins of Corfe Castle, an 11th century fortification in the English county of Dorset. The entire series was donated to Rowan by the artist. The office is open Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
