Minor in Entrepreneurship

Through the Minor in Entrepreneurship, students from all colleges of Rowan University will have an opportunity to learn entrepreneurial knowledge and skills by enrolling and completing entrepreneurship courses.

Requirements (Prerequisites in Parentheses) (12 s.h.)

  • Principles of Marketing (College Comp I; 12 completed credit hours)
  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Sophomore Standing)
  • New Venture Development (Junior standing and Entrepreneurship & Innovation or permission of instructor)
  • Financing & Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship (Junior standing and Entrepreneurship & Innovation or permission of instructor)

Electives: Select two (6 s.h.) courses from the list below

  • Technology Entrepreneurship (Junior Standing; 57 credit hours)
  • Strategic Issues in Family Business (Junior Standing; 57 credit hours)
  • Evaluating Franchising Opportunities (Junior Standing; 57 credit hours)
  • Social Entrepreneurship (Junior Standing; 57 credit hours)
  • Entrepreneurial Growth Strategies (Junior Standing and Entrepreneurship & Innovation or permission of instructor)

Requirements:

  • The completion (or in progress) of a minimum 12 credit hours
  • Grade point of average of 2.50 or better
