Ryno to lead new Center for Student Professional Development

Amie Ryno has been named  manager of the newly established  Center for Student Professional  Development in the Rohrer College of  Business.

In her new role, Ryno will work with  students to help them develop the  poise and professionalism  that will set  them apart as they launch their  careers. The center will offer an array of career-related  workshops and modules on resume creation, job and internship search, personal branding and  networking, among other offerings.

In an effort to provide Rohrer students with a multitude of internship and full-time opportunities, Ryno  also will work to deepen existing and yet-to-be-established employer partnerships.

She’s excited to join Rohrer and to establish the center in the new College of Business building, which will open in spring of 2017.

“We will be housed prominently on the first floor as students enter the building and I look forward to engaging them early--and often--in their career journey,” Ryno says.

Ryno has more than 10 years of experience working with students at the collegiate level to assist them in launching their careers. She most recently worked for Comcast at their headquarters in Philadelphia, where she was the senior manager of university relations.

Prior to joining Comcast, she was the internship program specialist in the Career Development Center at Saint Joseph’s University and also spent time at Lincoln Financial Group. There, she hired early career professionals into their rotational leadership program.
